Head of Government & Regulatory Affairs

The Opportunity As Voy grows in scale and profile, the decisions being made by Government, the NHS and regulators increasingly shape our ability to innovate, grow and deliver better healthcare. We are looking for an exceptional Government & Regulatory Affairs Lead to ensure we are not simply responding to that environment, but actively helping to shape it. You will build and lead Voy’s Government and Regulatory Affairs strategy, developing trusted relationships across Government, the NHS, Parliament and our key regulators. This is a highly visible, hands-on role with the opportunity to deliver tangible change: identifying where Voy should have a voice, getting us into the right rooms, developing compelling policy positions and turning our ambitions into clear workstreams and measurable outcomes. What you’ll do Build and own Voy’s Government & Regulatory Affairs strategy, translating our business priorities into clear objectives, targeted workstreams and measurable outcomes. Develop trusted, proactive relationships with our regulators, including MHRA, GPhC, CQC and ASA/CAP, ensuring they understand Voy, our model and our commitment to responsible digital healthcare before we need to engage on a specific issue. Build Voy’s relationships and influence across Government and Parliament, including DHSC and other relevant departments, parliamentarians, APPGs, advisers, think tanks and wider health policy stakeholders. Drive our NHS engagement, working closely with MoreLife and internal teams to identify opportunities across NHS obesity, prevention and digital healthcare and strengthen Voy’s position as a credible NHS partner. Put Voy into the conversations that matter, proactively identifying consultations, calls for evidence, regulatory initiatives, roundtables and policy forums and leading our contribution. Lead Voy’s Government Affairs contribution to CoRDH, helping use our collective evidence, scale and experience to influence policy and regulation and raise standards across digital healthcare. Turn evidence into influence, working with Clinical, Quality & Risk, Research and other teams to develop persuasive policy positions, consultation responses, briefings and evidence submissions. Deliver tangible impact, continuously assessing where we can influence change, remove barriers, build credibility or unlock opportunities rather than measuring success through activity alone. Who you are An experienced Government Affairs, Public Affairs, health policy or regulatory affairs professional. Must have experience in healthcare, life sciences, digital health or another highly regulated sector. Dynamic and proactive. You spot opportunities, create a plan and make things happen rather than waiting to be given a brief. An exceptional relationship builder, credible with senior policymakers, regulators, NHS leaders and internal executives and able to build relationships that last. Comfortable operating in ambiguity and the grey. You can navigate evolving policy and regulation, exercise excellent judgement and find constructive ways forward where there is no established playbook. A disruptor for good. You are prepared to challenge established thinking and advocate for change while understanding how to do so responsibly and credibly. Strategic but genuinely hands-on. You can develop the strategy, write the consultation response, brief the executive and make the case externally. An excellent writer and communicator, able to turn complex clinical, regulatory and commercial issues into clear, compelling arguments and asks. Driven by outcomes and comfortable with pace. This is not a role for the faint-hearted: you will need the judgement to know when to push, the credibility to bring people with you and the energy to turn ideas into tangible change.
